Life Is Good

'Life is Good' headed for top spot on Billboard 200

Written by Keith Caulfield, L.A. @ Billboard.com

Nas is set for his sixth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as his just-released album, "Life Is Good," is heading for the top slot next week. Industry sources suggest that the title will sell perhaps 120,000, which should be enough to secure a No. 1 bow.

The new Billboard 200 chart's top 10 will be revealed on the morning of Wednesday, July 25.

Nas previously hit the top with "It Was Written" (1996); the collaboration set "The Firm" (1997) with Foxy Brown, AZ and Nature; "I Am" (1999); "Hip Hop Is Dead" (2007) and "Untitled" (2008). The latter -- his last solo studio effort -- arrived with 187,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In 2010, his "Distant Relatives" collabo with Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley started at No. 5 with 57,000.

Nas' latest might be the only title to sell over 100,000 this week. Zac Brown Band's current No. 1 "Uncaged" might fall to No. 2 while the new "Kidz Bop 22" album could start at No. 3 with around 60,000.
